Over the last couple of years, I've had the opportunity to work on different award-winning inventions that range from medical devices to agriculture machinery attachments. Most notably, an adaptive cup for individuals with dysphagia (inability to swallow properly) as part of the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam where my team and I presented at MIT to faculty, students, and community members. Something that I only saw possible in my wildest dreams as a first-generation student. Although I still have a long road ahead of me, I plan to continue sharing my journey as an aspiring engineer.
